Its not really clear who youre supposed to be rooting for during the Battle of Blackwater. Obviously you cant root for Joffrey, because, well, its Joffrey. But then Stannis is a man its extremely difficult to love. Somewhere in the middle of this is Tyrion, and he serves as the audience's reference point throughout the battle, and the only one youre definitely cheering for as he takes command of the Lannister army. Its a worrying moment, then, when hes slashed across the face by Mandon Moore. Although Pod saves him from a follow-up attack, the fate of everyones favourite imp is unclear at the end of the episode, and there is a genuine possibility that he has died. Obviously such fears were assuaged a week later, but it was a hugely worrying moment when it originally happened.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
