A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 3 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. The Affecting & Surprising Ending

No spoilers here, but while The End rushes to its finish, the climactic moments don't want for emotional impact.

Some fans may not be entirely on-board with some changes made to the book - namely answering some previously unanswered questions - but in terms of paying-off the deeply affecting finale of the source material, it knocks it out of the park.

Every emotional beat that the show needed to nail in its final moments it absolutely did, sure to leave fans fighting back a huge lump in their throat in the very least.

Perhaps it might've reached even greater heights had the final episode not been rushed out in less than an hour, but accepting the obvious dramatic constraints, the show went out on a rewarding high in its closing moments.
