Agents Of SHIELD: 10 MIA Characters Who Should Return

From potential Secret Warriors to lanyard-loving agents, which characters deserve a comeback?

With the airing of this week's episode "Maveth," Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s third season has officially gone on hiatus. It's been quite a ride so far, with Season Two's introduction of the Inhumans being carried even further along, the team's conflict with Ward and HYDRA ratcheting up a number of notches, longtime character relationships continuing to be developed and redefined, several visits to a whole other planet, and so much more helping to prove how much the show has evolved from its wheel-spinning early days. Many things from the first two seasons have continued to pay off, rewarding fans who've been along for the journey from day one. However, there are still some characters and loose ends out there that deserve to return and/or receive closure, either in the back half of Season Three or beyond. With the wait now looming ahead of us until we can catch up with Coulson and the gang once more, let's take a spoiler-filled look at those MIA faces with living or unknown status who we'd love to see again...

10. Agent Blake

Last Seen: Being carted off by an emergency team after being roundly beaten to near-death by Deathlok in the Season One episode "End of the Beginning." Blake first appeared in the MCU as part of the Marvel One-Shot "Item 47" before making two further appearances in the show's first season. After he was taken away, his status has remained up in the air, with only one further verbal lip service being given to the fact he was still clinging to life. With the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., much of the early Season One stuff was pushed aside to make way for HYDRA, including Blake. More Titus Welliver is always a good thing, even if he's busy nowadays with his own series Bosch on Amazon, but seeing the agent return if even for a brief appearance would be a welcome surprise.
