10. What Next For Bobbi And Hunter?
Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood were two of the best additions to the S.H.I.E.L.D team last year, as Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter respectively.
Both are extremely skilled agents in their own right, and Hunter in particular became a fan-favourite for his sarcastic nature as much as his fighting abilities. The pair work well apart, but the best stuff comes when they are together.
Theyre a divorced, on-again-off-again couple who just so happen to be fighting on the same side as highly-trained secret agents. Their relationship hit plenty of comedic notes, something needed on the show, but you also cared about the characters as well. Thats why it mattered in the season finale, when Bobbi took a bullet for her husband, and later says that she cant do this anymore. This meaning being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent.
Does that mean the pair arent going to return to the fold, and are instead going to head off together into early retirement? Probably not, at least not permanently. The two became key members of the show, and were even mooted to have their own spin-off at one point. While they might get a little break, surely something will happen that means they need to come back.
