Agents Of Shield: 5 Ways To Improve The Show

4. Get Serious

I am not suggesting that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lose the charm prevalent throughout all of the Marvel offerings €“ I€™m merely suggesting that the show ramp up the stakes. Yes, this small team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents isn€™t likely to save the world, but having them take out real threats and placing their lives on the line to save civilians seems like a good way to get people more invested in what happens to this team. By contrast, having the team sent to a Peruvian jungle to fight some random just introduced military personnel doesn€™t scream riveting drama.

Lose the constant bickering between Fitz and Simmons as it has done nothing for the show so far and it isn€™t as funny as the writers seem to think it is. Humor has a big place in this show, as ABC has marketed it to be family friendly, but the humor needs to be smarter.
