Last Seen: Staring out at Earth alongside Hive, resigned to his fate, as the quinjet exploded in 'Ascension,' the third season finale.
With the Framework in play for the final arc of the season, the show has the opportunity to bring back a whole slew of characters who have been lost over the years. When Daisy stepped into her "life" within the Framework, instead of finding a happy ending with her long lost ex, she discovered that, in fact, she had ended up with Ward.
The alternate reality of the Framework has raised many questions about how events we've seen in the real world have played out within it, and with Ward alive - meaning he was never killed and had his body possessed by Hive - it's entirely possible that Lincoln still lives as well.
Did he go on to become an Inhuman menace? Has he even ever crossed paths with Daisy? Whatever his new history is, for better or worse, it would be good to see Daisy reunited with him regardless and finally learn to make peace with and let go of his death, or, perhaps, even be tempted by the allure of the Framework to stay with him.
