9. HYDRA Will Return To The Shadows

One of the more interesting ideas of the current season has been the role reversal of HYDRA and SHIELD. HYDRA was always the small, underground force while SHIELD was the large, well-funded and equipped foil to their organization. Following the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, SHIELD was torn down, outlawed, and forced into the shadows. While HYDRA is also illegal, they now hold the upper hand against SHIELD (they may always have, but this time it's explicit) with superior man-power, technology, and resources. With HYDRA head Daniel Whitehall seemingly murdered (not likely that a couple of bullets can take down a man that has not aged in decades), and his second in command sitting in a SHIELD prison, the organization can easily fracture and fall apart. Because they are the main antagonists for the series, it is unlikely that they will disappear, but in their new, desperate condition, a new leader (or resurrected Whitehall), will make HYDRA more dangerous and unpredictable than ever.
