Agents Of Shield: 8 Things That Will Need To Change After Captain America 2

1. The Death Of A Main Character

Given the possibility of a real shakeup for season two by including Fury more often, you have to suspect that the producers will recognise that there would be too many main characters running around on the show. So what can they do but kill off someone major in the final episode of the first season? This would leave fans on a cliffhanger to see where the second season starts up in the autumn. Due to the level of involvement of some characters, you can proportionately see the likelihood of their deaths occurring. For example, way too much time and effort has been expended in expanding the backstory of Skye €“ therefore she's perfectly safe, as it would be extremely lame to reveal her as something special and then kill her off permanently about three minutes later. Likewise with Coulson €“ the character was loved so much in the movies that the entire series was created simply to house him. But there is one character who is strictly one note, and almost no-one would miss if he was to die, especially if Nick Fury is added to the mix in a semi-permanent role for the next season. So basically, Grant Ward is as good as dead already €“ and if he isn't going to be killed off then expect him to be turned into a villain. Indeed, if the producers wanted to include a HYDRA double agent on the team, then Ward would be the perfect choice. Such a change would be the impetus for the show to become darker for the second season. But what do you think is going to happen in Agents of SHIELD as a result of Captain America: The Winter Soldier? As always, leave any thoughts and comments below!
