5. Warped Creatures

Our animal kingdom friends... only hungrier and meaner!

Despite the cataclysmic events of The Great War, the animal kingdom has survived, and even thrives in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Only it is not quite as you remember, and like everything else in this legendary series of games, it's a lot more dangerous than it used to be.

Remember plain old rats? Well, now there's the bigger and more aggressive mole rats, the result of genetic experiments, as are centaurs, shuffling mutated creatures that contain the DNA of up to seven other species.

Ramping up the danger level even more are radscorpions, large mutated arthropods that can instantly kill unsuspecting wastelanders with their deadly sting, and yao guai, the mutated bellicose bears that like nothing more than tucking into some fresh human flesh for dinner.

But the one animal that Amazon must include is the most lethal monster of all. Again created by the US Army through genetic experimentation, all Fallout fans remember the first time they saw a deathclaw. 20 feet tall and with teeth bigger than your arm, it's the ultimate menace in the wasteland.

Graeme Mason hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
