1. Horsing About Don't Look A Smith Horse In The Mouth
For number one I'm gone with an absolutely hilarious moment which was well delivered by the show's creators, even if not everyone agreed. This scene caused plenty of controversy, with Fox threatened with a whopping $25000 dollar fine after the episode aired, although the single scene was not the direct result of the backlash. The premise goes like this Stan and Roger own a racehorse and need it to win a big race to save the family from going bankrupt. Roger's annoyed with Stan and plays a trick on his pal telling Stan him he must 'relieve the horse' so it will run at its full potential. Stan is shocked but finally obliges, because obviously, he needs the horse to win. When Stan walks into the garage with the horse we start to wonder just where this is going? Stan gives the horse some hay, rolls up his sleeves and says to the animal "Just do me a favour and let me know when you're about to... you know." He then bends down under the horse, and the next shot you see is the animal's very surprised face, followed by an even more disturbing shot of a big load of liquid hitting Stan's face. However, there's no need to be alarmed it's an entirely different scene of Stan washing his face with a hose because he's cleaning off after his chore. For me I don't think this scene was ever in danger of being left out and here's why. The way the script was pieced together and the shots carefully selected made us all believe we were seeing Stan's faced covered in horse sperm when this in fact was clearly not the case. The show's writers have actually created a witty moment which should make us question our own dirty minds for assuming so. While the top filthy moment is nowhere near as offensive as some of the other for mentioned scenes I have to make it number one simply because of the uproar it caused and the fact that whenever I have a conversation about American Dad I bring it up. So there's 10 filthy scenes that made it past the censors can you think of any others? I'm sure it won't be hard.
