Roger the alien is, without question, the most controversial and morally questionable character in Seth MacFarlane's whole animated line-up. While you can chalk some of his harrowing actions up to his limited knowledge of Earth's rules and traditions, most of what the grey guy gets up to is purely a result of him being a total psychopath.

'A Nice Night For a Drive' sees Klaus's human mind transferred into the AI of Stan's SUV during a freak car accident. While all that transpires, a B-story involving Roger and one of his many inexplicably obtained families puts a very dark spin on an otherwise commonplace episode.

His short-tempered persona, Frank Trueblue, is an abusive husband and father, and his wife and two children visibly live in fear of him. He is bitter over having been rejected for the police force, which was most likely due to his violent tendencies and fragile mental state.

This B-story culminates in Frank shooting himself in the head at a restaurant and his family walking out with smiles of relief on their faces.

Whether or not you've experienced an abusive relationship yourself, the horrible tension these scenes build up gives you a chilling insight into the feelings that go into such a situation. Needless to say, they're pretty hard to watch.
