American Horror Story: 10 Interesting Theme Ideas For Future Seasons

2. Dolls

Annabelle, Chucky, Tiffany. There's no doubt that dolls are extremely creepy and make for compelling horrors. Whether they're murderous or possessed, you can't really go wrong in using a children's doll as the sole inspiration for an entire season of American Horror Story. Surprisingly, the show hasn't had a single creepy doll in the series (unless I'm missing one?) and fans think it's high time they used some sort of demonic doll. Instead of going the usual "demonic possessed doll" route, they could derive inspiration from Patty Reed's Doll. The story behind that doll was that eight year old Patty Reed, who was traveling to California in 1846 with her family and other pioneers, a group known to history as the Donner Party, were a group of travelers who became snowbound and turned to eating bits of leather, mice, old bones - and, finally, each other. The fact that this doll was smuggled around the world while Patty Reed ate human flesh is rather disturbing, and it could also make for a compelling AHS theme.
