American Horror Story: 10 Interesting Theme Ideas For Future Seasons

3. Summer Camp

Summer Camps are generally happy places with overly happy camp counselors, children and teens, but if you take a look at Friday the 13th, Sleepaway Camp, Camp Slaughter and a bunch of other horror films based on serial killers on campus, not all summer camps are as happy as they may seem after all. Perhaps the producers of American Horror Story can work on a 1980's summer camp - a time when Stephen King was the most sought-after author and perhaps have a teenage serial killer (or even serial killers) imitate the killings in his books at summer camp by killing fellow campers and counselors. It could be a nod to the old slasher films of the 1980's that Wes Craven was famous for, and if they manage to give it that old school charm, they might be able to get the older horror-loving generation to watch this season.
