American Horror Story: 10 Most Insane Fan Theories

While Roanoke (the sixth season) may not be considered one of the best by some, it does feature one of the most tragic figures in the entire series: Lee Harris (Angela Bassett).

Not only is she subjected to the horrors of Shaker Mansion, captured and tortured by the sadistic Polk family, and loses her daughter Flora to the ghosts of the missing Roanoke colony, she also suffered another massive blow before even arriving at the house.

Years prior to the events of the series, Lee lost her other child Emily. While out shopping, Lee left her four-year-old daughter in the car, and when she returned Emily was gone. Given that psychic Cricket uses a message from Emily to prove his psychic abilities, it was assumed that the youngster was murdered. However, one fan theory suggests that she's far from dead, and is in fact the Emily from Apocalypse.

Taken to the ominously named Outpost 3 because of her unique DNA as the world comes to an end, we don’t know much else about who Emily is - not even her last name. Although the timelines do line up to make this theory possible, there's nothing else that connects her to Lee.
