Season: Murder House Murder House proved that no one was safe, but Violet's death was so dramatic because no one knew that she was dead. Even Violet didn't know that she was a ghost. What looked like a failed suicide attempt was actually fatal as Tate was too late to save her, and both Violet and the viewers have this epiphany simultaneously. Of course it's AHS, so the way only we were going to discover what happened to her was to physically see it, rotting corpse and all.
