14. Penny's Mutilation

People in love do some very strange things but the worst thing that Penny did was chose to love Paul, The Illustrated Seal. Penny's father was unable to give her his blessing and decided to mutilate her as a reminder that she is a freak for loving Paul. And he wanted to prove this to the world in the most literal way that he could imagine.

By tattooing her face and forking her tongue, Penny was turned into a freak by her father who publicly humiliated and disowned his daughter. Despite being ostracised from society, she is accepted by the freaks who welcomed her with open arms and they did this before she was branded as the Lizard Girl.
