American Horror Story: 6 Most Controversial Moments Of Season 3
5. Spalding: Possible Necrophiliac?
Spalding, the mute butler of the coven is a pretty messed up character, and he only gets more and more crazy with every little piece of information we find out about him. First off, he is only mute because he cut off his own tongue to prevent him from telling the truth whilst under a charm. But his extreme loyalty to Fiona is something which brings him the greatest satisfaction, because it gives him rewards. Like dead bodies. Upon Fiona's murdering of Madison, Spalding is given the task of disposing of the body. Unlike any normal person upon being told to bury the slaughtered corpse of a young witch, Spalding instead takes the body up to his attic quarters, where he is often found dressed in gowns with a bonnet, surrounded by dolls and having imaginary tea parties. And if that wasn't quite messed up enough, he then turns the freshly lifeless Madison into his newest doll. Now, the show doesn't go all out and picture Spalding doing anything creepier than already described, but one episode even ends with him gazing upon Madison in her new garb, sat on a chair in his room, and the expression that stretches across his face can be described as nothing other than a huge neon sign suggesting he has more sordid intentions for her.
