American Horror Story: 7 Suggestions For Where Season 3 Should Be Set

2. Spaceship/Space Station

This would certainly be a left field choice for Ryan Murphy, but seeing as this current season of American Horror Story has already dabbled a little in the Science Fiction genre with the inclusion of Aliens and Alien abduction and is likely going to get more Science-Fictiony when it returns next year, maybe this is Ryan Murphy telling us that he secretly would like to have his own Science Fiction show. Plus, considering Fringe is coming to the end of its run this year, the world needs another Science Fiction show in my opinion on the air. People and technology going crazy on-board the confined and claustrophobic setting of a space station or space ship floating in space has been a staple of the science fiction/horror genre ever since Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey and has only grown in popularity since with films such as Alien, Aliens, Sunshine and Prometheus to name but a few. Space is so vast, mysterious, dark and empty it is perfect for the American Horror Story series. Plus, the confined space inside a spaceship would make it actually reasonably cheap to produce and would probably actually be easier than having to build an Insane Asylum from scratch for example. If Ryan Murphy did want to explore Science Fiction more in season 3, (which would make sense considering the first season was set in the present, the second in the past, so why not the third in the future) it is doubtful that he would want to include aliens considering they have been a large part of this current season. Therefore, instead of aliens, like "Hal", "David" or the "Terminator" before him, it is likely he would opt to explore the horrors of technology going crazy and starting to pick off the human scientists on-board the ship one by one. Plenty of chewy roles for the actors to feast upon with this idea. If robots isn't his thing, perhaps he could introduce a shape-shifting alien like the one used in "The Thing", which would be more interesting than your conventional aliens as seen in Asylum and would enable the entire ensemble cast a chance to play an alien somewhere in the third season.

My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
