American Horror Story: 7 Suggestions For Where Season 3 Should Be Set

1. Summer Camp

summer camp

Possessed children is something Ryan Murphy has explored to some level in both season 1 and 2 of "American Horror Story", and setting the show in a Summer Camp would allow him to possess all the creepy children he would want. I really, really think that American Horror Story season 3 needs a massive change of pace, and lightening the depressing mood and setting the show in the summer would be a good start. To add to the American theme even more, I would consider mixing the history Modern America has with the Native Americans, and having this Summer Camp either really close to an Native American Reservation, or like I suggested before, also having this camp having been built of an ancient Native American Burial ground would be perfect. Native Americans are traditionally known for their spiritual ways and their close connection to the land, the elements and nature, so as an act of revenge on their part, they could have had cursed this Summer Camp with evil spirit animals, possessed Grisly Bears, and plant life come alive to try to push the camp off of the land that rightfully belonged to the Native Americans. If Ryan Murphy was considering an idea similar to this, for inspiration I would suggest he were to check out "The Addams Family Values". In this film, the very Gothic character Wednesday Addams arrived into the summer camp, completely out of place, and by the end of the film pretty much ended ruling the camp. A problem this idea has is the fact that, like addressed in a Thanksgiving episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, you wouldn't want to villainize the Native American's, so you would have to tread very carefully here to make sure that no side, but especially not the Native Americans, are considered evil. Other than that though, there would be a lot of fun to be had with an idea like this, especially considering all the cool, rarely seen spiritual monsters you could bring into the show because of the association with the Native Americans. These are my personal favorite 7, but I am sure there are many many more suggestions that would be/ could be equally cool, and I'd love to hear your suggestions, or just your thoughts on this current season of American Horror Story in the comments section below. Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you all.
