American Horror Story: Apocalypse - 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Could It Be... Satan?'

2. Michael's Connection To Ms Mead

The previous episode revealed that Michael built the Ms Mead robot in the image of a woman he loved very much. It's safe to say that, after said revelation, the entire American Horror Story fandom presumed he was talking about Constance Langdon - a woman who took him away from Vivien and raised him all on her own. Well, apparently he wasn't referring to her. A flashback revealed that there was actually a real Ms Mead in Michael's life pre-apocalypse.

There was no doubt a collective "huh?" from AHS fans after this revelation, because the show is conveniently forgetting about Constance's existence. Ms Mead's inception is a little contrived, and wreaks of nothing more than the producers trying to compensate for not being able to utilise the Constance character due to Jessica Lange appearing in a reduced capacity (i.e. one episode later in the season).
