Title: The Seven Wonders

Synopsis: The surviving girls prepare to undergo the Seven Wonders in the hopes that a new Supreme will show herself. Ghosts of the pasts threaten to stop the coven moving forward, and Cordelia decides to go public as a way to bring Miss Robichaux's Academy into the 21st Century.

Pure spellbinding perfection, that is the only way to describe the final episode of American Horror Story's third season. Set to the soulful vocals of Stevie Nicks, The Seven Wonders balances comedy and hardship as the perfect cocktail for a Horror Story finale.

The emergence of Cordelia as the next Supreme finally solves the thirteen-week mystery with a more than satisfying end as the rightful leader. Myrtle Snow is perhaps one of the show's greatest creations and shining star of the season, so the only gripe with the finale is that the amazing Frances Conroy sacrifices herself to be burned at the stake again. However, it does give us one of AHS' most gif-able moments with her shouting "Balenziaga."

Meanwhile, Madison and Fiona finally get their comeuppance, and the former Supreme is left to languish in her own personal hell - reeking of catfish and sipping Gin Rickey's. Poor Misty Day is forced to live out frog dissection on a loop, while the idea of repeating the same nightmare over and over for eternity is one that haunts you long after the show has ended. In a season about good witches and bad, that sometimes threatened to move into Wizard of Oz territory, Coven represents the show at its peak. It is no wonder that Murphy wants to revisit the season sometime soon - magical, just magical.
