Ah yes, the Danger Zone. Listen to her howlin' roar. Beggin' you to touch and go. Wait, is that song supposed to be about jet fighters or sex? Is there a difference? Yes. Archer's favourite song has long since been a perfect fit to the show's whole modus operandi, stuffed as it is with bumping uglies and bumping off...ugliers. It's a violent and sexy show, basically, and whilst Archer Vice still featured those things in spades, there was perhaps a little less and to a different end than previous series. Most importantly, says Thompson, the season is about Archer and Lana, what they're gonna do with that baby, as well as CIA, more missions, more danger. Yes, more danger. One of the more underrated aspects of Archer are the action sequences which along with being more opportunities for character quirks, movie references and jokes are actually fantastically well-choreographed. They could easily get away with just some slightly crappy shootouts, since they're just there to legitimise the spying operations of ISIS, but they're actually pretty exciting and awesome. It's just that all the one-liners are a little distracting. Again, Archer Vice was high on the lunacy, a little less so on the action, so getting back to the Danger Zone this sixth season is going to be...wait, we had something for this...
