Arrested Development: 10 Greatest Episodes So Far

1. Notapusy - (Season 3, Episode 4)

notap Charlize Theron continues her role as Michael's quirky British girlfriend, Rita. Wanting to impress her, Michael signs up for the father-son triathlon at the 'church and state fair' along with Steve Holt, as George Michael is busy helping Ann prepare for a 'inner-beauty pageant' also being held at the fair. In an attempt to prove that all beauty pageants are superficial, Maeby decides to enter the pageant disguised as her wheelchair bound alter-ego, 'Surely'. The triathlon turns out to be for small children and is incredibly easy, but after mistakenly taking an 'OxyContin' pill given to him by Steve Holt, Michael appears exhausted and nauseas. Meanwhile, George Michael, after being dumped again by Ann, is feeling inadequate as a male and believes his father doesn't think he's 'man enough' so he decides to sign up for the army, as a local recruitment tent is set up at the fair. Hearing this, Michael intervenes and expresses his love for his son, which impresses Rita, who calls Michael a 'pussy' (intended to be taken as 'kind'), leaving him bemused. Elsewhere, George Sr. is due to give a speech at another tent to a group of 'at-risk male youths' in order to scare them away from committing crimes. Instead, he stumbles into the wrong tent, a 'scared straight' programme designed by the church to scare young gay men into being straight, but George Sr.'s stories of prison life seem to interest the crowd in a very different way to fear, many becoming animated.
