Arrested Development: 10 Insane Details You Definitely Missed

9. Tobias’ Blue Handprints Are All Over The Place

Arrested Development Blue
20th Television & Netflix

An early ongoing joke in Arrested Development revolved around Tobias' desire to become a member of the Blue Man Group. To achieve this goal, he "Blue" himself multiple times, which is to say, he covered his body in blue paint. He did this numerous times throughout Arrested Development.

Whenever Tobias covered himself in blue paint, the focus on the screen was the blue man himself, but he left some interesting remnants of his penchant for painting himself. Throughout the show's run, blue handprints can be seen all over the place, and the other characters seem to ignore this.

In season two, episode five, his handprint can be found on the refrigerator. Two episodes later, there's a clear handprint behind Michael (pictured). There are tons of blue handprints all over the cabinets throughout the model house, but they are spread about enough to go unnoticed by casual viewers.

If you go back through the entire series, you can find several examples of Tobias' blue activities all over the model home. Pain on the walls, cabinets, the oven, and in other heavily-trafficked areas are clearly obvious once you see them, but before this happens, it's easy to miss them.
