6. Lindsay Gets (Badly) Green-Screened

The show's fourth season was rife with egregious use of green screen in order to get the cast members together as much as possible, and while season five is nowhere near as bad, extensive compositing is nevertheless used for many of Lindsay's (Portia de Rossi) scenes.

De Rossi retired from acting shortly before season five premiered, and apparently wasn't able or couldn't be bothered to head to the main set to shoot her infrequent scenes. Instead, she's poorly copy-and-pasted into scenes, with the lighting of her body frequently not matching the lighting of the rest of the scene.

Though there are some pretty blatant jokes about the actress' absence - with Lindsay having a sheet thrown over her head numerous times and DeBrie Bardeaux (Maria Bamford) even playing her stand-in - it's probably better off just excluding her from this point on if she's not going to actually turn up to set.
