Arrow: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode
1. Roy Stewart
John Diggle is (rightfully) considered to be the breakout star of Arrow, and fans got a chance to see various sides of Oliver's brother-in-arms over the years. This ranged from his storied past in the military, romance with Lyla Michaels and shaky familial relationships.
The latter was seen with the introduction of Roy Stewart, John Diggle's step-father as played by the wonderful Ernie Hudson. Although their relationship was not as strained as John and his brother Andy's, they still did not see eye to eye as John believed that Roy's negligence led to his father's death.
Though his appearance was brief, it still provided insight into John's background from a different perspective, showing us the man that partially shaped him into who he became. Hudson also acquitted himself well with his performance, expertly conveying Stewart's hardened military exterior and warmth towards John and his family.
In addition to this, his surname and his relations to John was another reminder that John was a possible version of fan-favourite Green Lantern John Stewart. This is yet to be confirmed but it still acts as a fun nod to a beloved character.
