Arrow: 10 Huge Things We Learned From The New Trailer

1. Oliver And Felicity Get Close

Perhaps the most exasperating subplot of Season 3 has been the stalemate between Oliver and Felicity. After their romance was blown up in every sense of the word in the season premiere, the two have been making each other more miserable than happy. The arc has been salvaged the facts that Oliver has never wavered in his love for Felicity and that Felicity had not moved on just to spite Oliver. It hasn€™t always been a pleasure to watch, but the chemistry between the actors added an undercurrent of yearning even when the writing did not provide. Thankfully, it now looks like the writing is finally ready to catch up to the performances. At some point amidst all of the resurrections and proclamations and brandings, Oliver is going to take a bit of time for himself. Given a palatial set of rooms with a gorgeous balcony and furnished by the most tasteful League of Assassins interior decorator in Nanda Parbat, what else is a vigilante to do except light a few hundred candles and brood handsomely in the flickering firelight? Well, Oliver€™s been celibate and swoony for about a year now, so€ he could probably think of something. Enter Felicity. It€™s actually astonishing that The CW released as much footage of the Oliver/Felicity love connection as was included in the trailer. Shippers would have been thrilled merely by the implications of Oliver tenderly removing Felicity€™s glasses; the subsequent stripping and straddling and scar-tracing was almost overwhelming. The potential gratuitousness of a sex scene between the show€™s power couple in May sweeps is offset by the clear emotional intensity, and that Oliver and Felicity will have at least one happy moment together can remind viewers why this couple is one worth rooting for. Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
