Theas development was a big bonus for season 3, as the show had struggled with what to do with her up until then. She had just been Olivers sister, who didnt know her brother was running around their city firing arrows into bad-guys. After being whisked away from Starling City by her father, Malcolm Merlyn, at the end of season 2, this year saw her train under him in order to become a bit of a kick-ass fighter in her own right. He also drugged her and had her murder Sara Lance, which wasnt so great, but hey swings and roundabouts. She got more to do once Oliver revealed his identity to her, and she slowly started to become a part of the team, displaying the familial fighting and archer skills. Shes killed by Ras during a fight in her apartment, and is later resurrected as we finally get an introduction on the show to the Lazarus Pit. Donning Roys red jacket at the end of the season, she tentatively asks what Olly thinks of the name Red Arrow, to which he replies hed already started getting everyone to call her Speedy. Expect to see that stick, and for Thea to become a fully-fledged member of Team Arrow in season 4.
