Arrow: 10 Major Predictions For Season 5

4. Oliver And Felicity Will Get Back Together

These are predictions, not necessarily what I want to happen.

Ok, so now that's out the way to spare me a lynching, I do think the show will circle back around to Oliver and Felicity as a couple this year. It won't be for a while, as they're going to have their hands pretty full with other things, but come the season's end I'd be surprised if they weren't back together.

The show has put a lot of time into them as a couple, for better or worse, and with Laurel dead there aren't really any contenders right now to be the person Oliver ends up with, and this is a TV show after all - that's going to be a part of it.

It's not an inherently bad move either. 'Olicity' did not kill the show, and nor is it fair - as so many viewers do - to lay the blame at the feet of Felicity. There's a way to make their relationship work, it just can't dominate proceedings. It can feed into the wider story arcs, and there's always going to be some relationship drama, whether it's with Felicity or someone else.

The problem they've had is the way they've written the show around this drama and these elements have - at times - superseded the vigilante action. But it also means they've very much set up Oliver and Felicity to be together, and there's a good chance that'll happen again in Season 5. Hopefully this time, they - by which I mean the writers - can figure out a way to fit it into the show, without disrupting everything else.
