Arrow: 5 Reasons Why Felicity Is Not Going To Die

5. It's A Bit Premature

The most straightforward reason why Felicity is not going to die in the midseason premiere is that the grave flashforward from the October Season 4 premiere was dated six months in the future, which would place the death sometime in March or April, depending on scheduling. If Felicity were in fact the person to die and be buried in Season 4, she certainly wouldn€™t be heading off to that great tech paradise in the sky in January. In fact, it€™s incredibly unlikely that any major character will be dying before the flashforward. Killing anybody off early would totally ruin the tension and build-up of the six month deadline. Felicity is absolutely safe from dying of her midseason finale injuries, and killing her in March after using her terrible injury as the cliffhanger in December would be repetitive and cheap even for Arrow at its most melodramatic.
