Arrow: 6 Ups And 5 Downs From The Season 4 Premiere 'Green Arrow'

Again, unfortunately, the flashbacks have to come in for some criticism. When the appearance of Amanda Waller made it look like Oliver was leaving Coast City almost as soon as he'd arrived, I was hoping that the saving grace would be a trip to somewhere new and exciting, such as finally getting to see Olly in Russia. 

But nope, it wasn't to be, and we're going back to the island once again. In fairness the flashbacks on Lian Yu have been some of the most successful, so you can see a sense of logic in returning there, but how much can there be to get from it at this point?

We've covered a lot of Oliver's time there, his run-ins with various characters, his arc with Slade and training that ultimately leads to him becoming the vigilante. It remains to be seen what else happens there, and I'll keep an open mind, but compared to the promise of Coast City a return to the island feels rather disappointing at this early stage.
