Ray Palmers origin story as the Atom had no place on Arrow. For most of Season 3, he could have lifted right out of the show, and the only difference would have been that Felicity would have seemed more like the character from the first two seasons and less like a springboard designed to sell him as a lighter character. His scenes were usually so dissonant from the rest of each episode that he felt like a character from another show accidentally spliced into Arrow. Even the soundtrack was peppier when he would come on screen, regardless of the tone of the rest of the hour. Besides, a man with a supersuit that allows him to fly and shoot energy beams and survive all projectiles should not have been introduced on a show on which the hero is an archer. If the Atom had to come to the Flarrow-verse, his origin should have been in a show where his suit wouldnt overshadow the abilities of the lead.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
