Arrow: 7 Things You Learn Rewatching Season 1
3. The SCPD Building Looked Drastically Different
The SPCD precinct has been a fixture of Arrow since the show first began. While an attack by Black Siren resulted in it receiving a rather dramatic facelift in Season 6, up until that point it has always looked the exact same on the inside - with mulitple cubicles for busy officers and long corridors that the Arrow has snuck down once or twice. The outside of it, however, hasn't always looked the same.
While the most recognisable version of the SCPD exterior paints it as a small, wide building with an outdoor carpark and a large billboard that reads 'Starling Metro Police', the first season utilises a very different exterior shot.
This rather dated-looking establishing shot featured a much taller (and larger) building in a much busier area of the city. Unlike its successor, there is no outdoor carpark and the words 'Starling Metro Police Dept.' are instead featured on the very top of building. In addition, the quotation "to protect and to serve" sits above the doorway.
