Arrow: 5 Biggest Moments From ‘Seeing Red’

3. Sara Leaves

The aftermath of Roy€™s encounter left Sara shaken, even after working closely with Ollie and following his no kill policy, she still only sees herself as a murderer. She wanted to kill Roy and was ready to, but Ollie saw the alternative that she couldn€™t. Sara feels she€™s overcome by the darkness, and despite taking a huge step in the right direction a few episodes ago when she spared the Huntress, she sees herself too far gone to save. She recognises the changes Ollie has made to himself and thinks she€™ll only hurt him if they remain together. Despite Ollie and Sinn€™s belief that Sara is more than a killer, she leaves Starling City in search of a €˜friend€™. There are plenty of similarities between Sara now and how Ollie was when he returned from the island, something he even mentions to Felicity midway through the episode. Ollie saw no other alternative to killing and it was Diggle and Felicity that kept him from getting lost in darkness Sara feels she can€™t escape from. Ultimately, it was the death of Tommy that spurred on Ollie€™s respect for life and Sara may well find herself in a similar situation later on. Nonetheless, it is a disappointing moment for fans of Green Arrow and Black Canary€™s relationship and a odd move that Sara would leave Starling in Team Arrow€™s time of need, especially since moments later Slade plays his next hand. Not to mention her family are in just as much danger as Ollie€™s. Speculation is ripe with possibilities as to who Sara€™s friend is; ranging from Nyssa al Ghul and the League of Assassins to Malcolm Merlyn. No doubt she€™ll return in time to help Ollie with a surprise.
