Arrow Season 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

8. Roy Harper Is Now Arsenal

When Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) showed up halfway through Arrow's first season, our interest was immediately piqued. Roy has long been one of Green Arrow's most famous sidekicks in the comics, and showed up on Arrow far earlier than fans were anticipating. His acceptance into Team Arrow took a bit longer than some may have liked, but he became a full-fledged vigilante by the end of season two, and is even getting the costume and domino mask to prove it this season. Roy is skipping right over his "Speedy" persona, and is becoming Arsenal. From what we've heard so far, he and Oliver have developed quite the mentor/mentee relationship, which is bound to come with some interesting storytelling opportunities. Plus, the idea of sidekicks is one that hasn't quite been fully explored yet in live-action superhero adaptations, so we're dying to see how the unique dynamic is portrayed on screen. Oh, and we're really hoping Roy loses his arm at some point, just like he did in the comics. That would be awesome.
