Admittedly, this is something of a curve ball. While the second Blue Beetle, Ted Kord, was scheduled to make an appearance in the third Season of Arrow, DC eventually ruled against the character's appearance, and he was replaced by the Atom. Between DC's decision not to allow the character to appear in Season 3 and The Atom subsequently taking his place, the moment for the Blue Beetle has passed. However, if the CW are looking to bring in a similar character, they could do far worse than Booster Gold. A time-traveller, Booster Gold originated as a fame-seeking wannabe with advanced technology who travels back in time to become a superstar. Like Blue Beetle, and the majority of characters already featured in Arrow, Booster Gold has no powers of his own. And although he is, of course, a skilled athlete at peak human ability, he relies primarily on his advanced technology to get him through the day. As Legends of Tomorrow is set to establish time travel in Arrow's shared-universe, it isn't too much of a stretch to see Booster Gold making an appearance in a future episode.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
