Arrow Season 4: 10 Questions We're Asking After Restoration

5. How Did Darhk Get His Powers?

Damien Darhk isn't a metahuman, yet he is an extremely powerful character, which is evident again here. With a mere "parlour trick" he stops one of Double Down's card in mid-air, much like he did with arrows in the first episode, before throwing it into the throat of Mina Fayed, and then bringing it back to him, all without ever touching it. This is the magic and mysticism of Season 4 at work, and it's fantastic to watch. The main reason for that is Neal McDonough's performance as Darhk; he's absolutely captivating every time he's screen, managing to strike a perfect balance between being totally charismatic and utterly menacing. The other reason though is just how intriguing it all is. We haven't really seen this before on the show, and Darhk remains a complete mystery. Just how did he get those powers? What else is he capable of?
