Arrow Season 4: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Unchained'
11. Is That The Last Time We'll See Roy?
After his departure in Season 3, it wasn't clear when - if ever - we'd get to see Roy again. Sure, for a lot of his time on Arrow he'd been cast aside and forgotten about, there to break out the occasional bit of parkour, but the way they actually wrapped things up was pretty nice. Still, it was good to see him back, and he had plenty to do in this episode besides the parkour (although of course that was still a feature, and essentially amounted to him winning a fight by breakdancing). The way they ended things between him and Thea was especially great and actually touching, some of the best work on the show by both Colton Haynes and Willa Holland. Now he's gone again, but is there scope for a future return? The door seemed to close pretty fully, but you never know. Perhaps he could even turn up on Legends of Tomorrow?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
