Arrow Season 4: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Unchained'

There's a big ol' Arrow reunion this week.

Welcome back, Roy Harper! Oh, and you Nyssa, it's been a little while. Yes, Tatsu as well. And, er, Shado? I thought you were d...ah, you still are, ok... There was a big ol' reunion on Arrow this week, and everyone was invited. Stopping short of hauling up the corpses of Moira Queen and Tommy Merlyn, the show dug into its past with numerous returning faces, and one mentioned but never before seen. The big (non-secret) one was obviously the return of Roy Harper, a man most people in Star City believe a) was the Arrow, and b) is now dead. His clean break has gotten a little dirty, as he's been sent to do the work of a man going by the name of the Calculator, and having Colton Haynes back was a wonderful addition to Season 4. He had more to do in this one episode than the majority of his time as a series regular, getting a genuinely emotional arc alongside completely random and unnecessary parkour (ok, with Roy it's always necessary). Nyssa's return tied into this as well, as she may have a way to save Thea, one that apparently had to involve going through Tatsu/Katana first, though again her appearance was not an unwelcome one. The Shado one was pretty weird, but I guess that just fits with the whole WTF nature of the flashbacks this year, and it at least made them more interesting. Then there was the big reveal at the end, of Felicity's father, and the dramatic request from Nyssa. All mixed together it was a really entertaining episode, the best since it returned in 2016, and leaves a lot to think about going forward.
