11. What Is Baron Reiter Really Up To?
We haven't seen too much of Baron Reiter so far this season, even though he's the one running things on the island in the flashback scenes. This is largely presented to be a drug empire that he's in charge of, but Constantine remarks that there's much more to it than that, adding that the island is one of the world's magical places. So, if it isn't just drugs, what else does Reiter want? Constantine gives Oliver the orb so as to appease Reiter, which suggests he might have at least some knowledge of more otherworldly goings-on (or does he just think it's valuable?). He also appears to have quite a bit of trust in Oliver, despite the fact Conklin clearly feels the opposite way. Does he know more than he's letting on?
