12. Why Cant The Flash Help Stop Damien?
One of the inherent problems with the shared CW Universe is just how overpowered The Flash is compared to Green Arrow. Nowhere was that more apparent than this episode when everyone gets incinerated except for Barry who managed to outrun it. To that end, considering how much more powerful Barry is than Oliver, why cant he stick around to help fight Damien? Realistically, the answer is obvious, because then there would be no conflict for the second half of Season 4. But within the framework of the show, why doesnt Barry stick around? Sure Zoom is lurking around somewhere, but its not as if the threat is so imminent that Barry cant spend a couple more days away from Central City. Is it meant to be believed that Oliver doesnt want his help? Its one thing to explain this away in the episode, but they dont even address it. Considering how effective they were at stopping one magical madman, surely they would see the value in trying their team-up again.
