Arrow Season 4: 8 Ways It’ll Be A Totally Different Show This Time

1. The Green Arrow

The biggest change to the show will be in the hero himself, who is finally going to make the transition into the comic-book character its based on, adding a splash of colour to the Arrow moniker.

Green Arrow will be a marked departure from the Arrow of the last couple of years, and almost unrecognisable from the kill-happy Hood of season 1. He's a much lighter character, which goes with the change in tone, and delivers a lot of wisecracks as he kicks ass.

He's also celebrated be the people of the city, which would be an interesting twist on things, especially in terms of Detective Lance's role, and utilises a number of trick arrows (in fact, here's a handy rundown of everything you need to know about the character).

As the titular character and hero he is the centre of the show, and any change to him is going to have ramifications for everything else, so his progression into Green Arrow is going to be a big step for the future of the show, and one that is going to be really exciting to watch.
