7. What Is Darhk's Ring?

Darhk is led away to his prison cell, but naturally he's still feeling pretty confident about things. Aside from his innate smugness and self-belief, the reason becomes quickly apparent as he reveals that he's got his teeth into something which might yet save him. 

He opens his mouth to reveal a mysterious ring, which he then slips onto his finger. Now, just a wild guess, but I don't think that's simply his wedding band. Presumably it's another magical item, but quite what properties it possesses, or what it will allow him to do, we're in the, *ahem*, dark over.
