4. An Old Character Returns

While there's going to be a whole host of new faces, Arrow Season 5 will also see the return of a character who hasn't appeared for two full seasons. Since Slade Wilson, the character most fans would undoubtedly love to return, appeared in Season 3, it offers just a few possibilities.

Well, one is Anatoly Knyazev, the leader of the Solntsevskaya Bratva, and an old friend of Oliver. The show will be giving us Russia flashbacks, and he hasn't been seen since Season 2's Unthinkable. However, Anatoly appeared in the Season 5 trailer, and while this tease was made before the trailer debuted, it's not clear whether it means there'll be another returning character.

If there is, then there are a couple of other contenders. Huntress is one possibility, as while she's been mentioned she hasn't actually appeared in any form since Season 2's Birds of Prey, and Arrow is recruiting a number of new vigilantes this year. Finally, and this may be wishful thinking, is the idea of Cyrus Gold returning. Or more specifically, Solomon Grundy, the character he may well have become after dying.
