4. Oliver Queen

This one pretty much goes without saying, but is still worthy of addressing (and not just to avoid all the 'er, what about Oliver?!' comments.).

It raises the question of whether Arrow would ever really kill off its hero, or if there's a future of the show without Stephen Amell. And, well, the answer to both is a pretty solid no at this stage.

Arrow flirted with making us think it'd killed Oliver in Season 3, and no one really bought it, and nor did it particularly help the show along. Since then it's had him face more life or death situations, but he's always came out on top, because he's the hero. It's his show. And Stephen Amell is the star, one who has continued to grow into the role (regardless of how the show has dipped in quality, Amell gets better and better).

It'd almost be interesting to see Arrow without him, but it wouldn't even take a single episode to realise that it can't work. This story began with Oliver Queen, and it'll eventually end with him too.
