Arrow Season 7: 3 Ups & 1 Down From 'Level Two'

2. Back To The Future

When Arrow's seventh season began, it caught its viewers off-guard with the introduction of a flash-forward narrative centred on William Clayton and Roy Harper on Lian Yu. Well, after the arc was absent from last week's episode, it returned in 'Level Two' and dropped some major bombshells about the future of Star City.

Upon arriving, both William and Roy discovered that their former home had been decimated by an uprising that took place in The Glades - information they almost found out the hard way when corrupt police officers attempted to take them down. That is, until they were saved by Dinah Drake.

Sporting a new Black Canary costume, Dinah rebuked the pair for returning to Star City before catching them up on the events that took place in the twenty year gap. What was incredibly interesting was that Dinah had a scar on her throat, suggesting that it had been cut at one point which has undoubtedly rendered this future version of her without a Canary Cry. However, that was only the precursor to the episode's biggest shock, as she revealed that Felicity Smoak was dead.

Yet again, the flash-forward arc left us with so many questions, and it's gotten to the stage where literally anything could happen. Whatever has happened, it's certainly shaping up to be the season's most-gripping mystery and it continues to impress even more than the strong present-day storyline.
