Arrow Season 7: 4 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘The Longbow Hunters’

1. A Breakthrough In Laurel's Redemption

Black Siren's road to redemption has undoubtedly been one of Arrow's most engaging storylines in recent memory. The Earth-2 villain formed an unlikely bond with Quentin Lance last season while she was still aligned with Big Bad Ricardo Diaz and, when her father figure was killed, she swore revenge.

Last week's season premiere revealed that this Laurel had officially taken our Laurel's place as the city's District Attorney and, in doing so, it suggested that she was turning over a new leaf. However, this week, she discovered that Diaz was back in town and decided to track him down, heading straight into the lion's den (along with Dinah Drake) - hellbent on killing the man who took Quentin from her.

Despite their issues, the two Canaries managed to defeat The Silencer in battle. However, this moment of unity led to Black Siren turning up at SCPD to personally thank Dinah. She then emotionally revealed that Quentin was the first person to care about her in a very long time and that losing him made her realise that what she did to Vigilante was wrong. In that moment, she tearfully apologised to Dinah.

This was a major breakthrough for Laurel as it briefly exposed her true motivations. She may still be seeking vengeance, she may still have an extreme amount of sass and she may still have no issue putting anyone in their place, but she's starting to make up for her mistakes - and this was the first major step.
