Arrow Season 7: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Lost Canary'
4. Birds Of Prey
Over the years, Arrow has mistreated and downplayed both the Black Canary herself and any respective character to have taken on her mantle, instead choosing to focus its time on less interesting original characters. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that it’s taken them this long to finally give us a real Birds of Prey-themed episode.
That said, ‘Lost Canary’ was worth the wait. Not only did two variations of the Black Canary team up in search of the show’s definitive version, it finally placed the spotlight on the under-appreciated female characters who, thanks to Beth Schwartz, have been receiving a lot more well-rounded storylines this season.
With Black Siren eventually overcoming her demons and teaming up with Sara, Dinah and Felicity, this Birds of Prey epic was undoubtedly worth the wait and would serve as the perfect backdoor pilot for a potential spin-off show. The only question is: would it be called "Birds of Justice" (as Felicity so aptly put it)?
