Arrow Season 7: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Lost Canary'

2. Laurel Redeems Herself

Arrow Lost Canary Laurel Lance Black Siren
The CW

Ever since she joined Arrow full-time in Season 6, it has been clear that Black Siren has been destined for redemption. Following the death of her father's doppelganger, Quentin Lance, it appeared as though she had achieved that redemption as she went on to become the city's District Attorney and even formed friendships with former enemies Dinah and Felicity.

While this apparent redemption made for a ton of memorable scenes, it unfortunately felt a little unfinished - the reason being that most of it took place off-screen, while the parts that did not ended up being far too brief.

'Lost Canary' remedied that because, by taking everything away from Laurel, it pushed her further into that abyss of darkness and closer to becoming Black Siren again and, in doing so, it allowed her to finally close the chapter on this whole issue of redemption once and for all by making a definitive choice. Thankfully, she made the right one.

They said she couldn't be redeemed, but they were wrong - and it's that redemption which gifted us with one of the season's most gratifying reveals...
