Arrow Season 7: What ‘Star City Slayer’s Ending Really Means

1. Felicity Is Pregnant With Blackstar

Arrow Season 7 Felicity Smoak
The CW

Since Blackstar made a rather unforgettable debut on the show, we have all been wondering just who she actually is. A beloved cage fighter from Star City's bleak future, she has had her own reasons for searching for the missing Felicity Smoak and, after all this time, we now finally know why.

Confronted by a gun-wielding William, the vigilante-hating fighter revealed that her real name was actually Mia Smoak, meaning that she is Felicity's daughter and, in effect, William's sister. This scene unravelled just as present-day Felicity had an intriguing conversation with Dr. Schwartz that resulted in her cradling her abdomen in shock.

Thus, 'Star City Slayer's closing sequence not only suggests that Felicity is pregnant, but that she is pregnant with Mia - the child who will grow up to become Blackstar in the future. While the reveal itself has received a mixed reaction from fans, many of whom thought it was incredibly predictable, it certainly points towards an interesting future for the show.

If Mia is Felicity's daughter, then why she does she harbour such a hatred towards vigilantes? Why does she (and Connor Hawke) want access to the Archer Programme, and perhaps most importantly, what has happened to her parents?
